Drury Law Enforcement Academy

The Drury University Law Enforcement Academy, certified by the State of Missouri Department of Public Safety, provides professional training for those interested in pursuing a career in law enforcement. The 750-hour basic training academy is offered in person through the Drury University main campus or synchronously at the south-central location near West Plains. The academy meets the State of Missouri’s minimum training requirement for Class A certification for peace officers.

750-hours of classroom and training experience

Monday through Thursday from 7:30am-5:30pm

Approximately 10 Saturday and/or Sunday classes with varying times will be scheduled for firearms, defense tactics, driving or practical training

  • Accident Investigation & Traffic Law

  • Firearms Training / Defensive & Control Tactics

  • Emergency Vehicle Driving Training

  • Criminal Investigations & Crime Scene Processing

  • Certifications in: First Responder, CPR & AED, SFST, Taser, OC Spray, Radar, and more!

Each year we start an academy in June (6 months), January (6 months), and August (9 months).

The first two steps to get started in the academy will be submitting a Drury GO
application and signing up for an academy information session.
