Shield Solutions LLC was created in 2013.  Curiosity about school staff members carrying concealed has been running high throughout the nation since the December 14, 2012 school shootings at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut.  In the wake of this tragedy where 20 students and six teachers lost their lives when an armed gunman entered the public school, the perhaps once-unthinkable idea of arming school administrators, teachers and even non-certified staff as a legitimate policy fix for improving school safety has arisen.

At Shield Solutions LLC, we believe that arming school employees isn’t just a good idea.

We believe it’s a logical fix that will, above all else, best protect your students should an armed intruder enter your school campus, intent on harming defenseless children.

The concept of arming school employees is seriously being weighed by school boards throughout the nation. And the action isn’t without precedent. Several states have passed legislation this year allowing school employees to carry concealed firearms with proper training. Missouri is one of those states. But, to us, training is the key. Proper training. Comprehensive training. Training that your insurance carrier will accept, which ours does.

We will train school staff members to carry concealed firearms. Those staff members will be better trained with their respective firearms than most Missouri P.O.S.T. certified law-enforcement officers.
